Snips and snails, and puppy dog tails...

...that's what little boys are made of!

Baby Boy is happy, healthy, and growing right on schedule, due to arrive sometime in March.

We couldn't be happier!

Halloween Happenings

Halloween was a bit anti-climactic this year. We've had some really nice fall days and cool weather but yesterday was randomly rainy, muggy, and unseasonably warm. Despite the weather conditions, we braved the rain with our friends, the Christinzios, and got a little trick-or-treating done--much less than last year when we trekked all over town.

Gabbie was what she called a "butterfly fairy." The icing on the cake was that I let her wear a little of my lip gloss and she thought she was pretty hot stuff. She had the time of her life and would yell "Trick-or-Treat!" before the people even got the door open. She would examine her stash after every house, "oooo-ing" and "aahh-ing" over how much candy she had accumulated.

Lukey, my little green dragon, wasn't feeling the holiday cheer between the wet rain and the hot, fleece costume I made him wear. Not only that, but because of all his allergies, there was almost NOTHING in his bucket of candy that he could eat. Thankfully, one house gave out Philly soft pretzels so he chowed down on that while his sister and friends raked in the chocolate.

After our speedy trick-or-treating adventure, we got back home and the kids had just as much fun handing candy out to other trick-or-treaters as they did collecting it themselves!

Pumpkin Patch

It has become a family tradition each year to go pumpkin picking on my birthday (yes, I crossed over into my 30s this week!!!). When we lived in Pennsylvania, we would frequent Linvilla Orchards (along with thousands of other people) for an evening hayride, bonfire, apple cider, and picking the perfect pumpkins. Since moving to New Jersey last year, we've been introduced to Duffield's, which is a little less crowd-crazy than Linvilla but just as much (if not more) fun!

The kids each picked a small pumpkin which they will decorate (paint) this week. We also got one large pumpkin that we're debating about whether or not to carve. We carved one a couple years ago and it became a food fest for the squirrels within days of setting it outside. You may remember that squirrels don't seem to like us much!

Happy Fall!
